best camping places bay area image

I'm thinking of taking my boyfriend to watch the sunset in the Bay Area. I would want a camping ground so we could start a fire and stay warm, but to also be able to pitch a tent. I would want a sunset view to add to the romanticism. . . does this place exist? Where?
Answer
Just across the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco are some places on beaches or on hills that are good I've heard. Kirby Cove is the name of one area there.

Some friends and I are planning to go on a camping trip in the middle of August and we're trying to find some great places to camp. We're from the San Francisco Bay Area and we don't want anything to far, but nothing too close to home either. Does anyone have any recommendations for camp sites that aren't expensive either?
Answer
it is better to camp in state parks, such as Diablo mountains, about $15 for camp site.
