Can someone please recommend a nice campground to camp in the Adirondack region?
Answer
Anywhere in the Adirondacks is a good place for camping. What do you like...hiking, fishing, swimming, hunting in season, etc? There should be some sites on the net that you could peruse. Best bet would be to contact the New York State Chamber of Commerce. They would be too glad to send you literature. Bet they have a web site. Watch out for the bears, racoons, rattlesnakes and other wild animals while camping. They'll get into all your stuff and destroy it too.. lol. Nice trip I took included the Thousand Islands, little Tupper, Port Henry(ferry to Vt) and back at Crown Point and Fort Ticonderoga. If you ever wanted to visit a fort, this would be the one.

Where is a good secluded spot to camp in the northeast?

I want to go camping and do it right. I want a secluded place, so I don't have to deal with kids or idiots. I'd like a place where I can have a small fire. It seems like campsites have wi-fi and water and electricity at its sites...none of that for me. I want to get away. Where can I go?!?!?! CT,NY,RI area
Answer
Adirondack high peaks in northern NY, althought there are tons of rules there (many of them really stupid) so you may need to do some research to find a place allowing fires.
