Where is a good place to camp in oregon ?

I want it to be somewhere near water and where adults are okay to drink. Any suggestion is a good one. Thank you

Cape Lookout, down by the beach there is a campground, you'll hit it if you take hwy 6 out of portland, down to tillamook (watch your speed), go out 3rd street toward netarts (this turns into Hwy 131), turn left when you see the sign for Cape Lookout, stay on that bumpy road and the campground is on your right (toward to water) but BEFORE you go up over the top of the Cape. Great great great camping but RESERVE YOUR SPOT NOW. I MEAN RIGHT NOW LIKE TOMORROW MORNING. That place is packed all summer. I'd shoot for sometime between August 10th and September 30th. That's your best bet. And, the best campground I've been to in all of Oregon. Also, if you head back toward Netarts on the same road for dinner some night, there's a nice Italian place on your left (can't miss it), and if you turn left onto the road that stays by the bay, you'll come to The Schooner (get the PIZZA). Ignore the fish, Ignore the steak, get the pizza, trust me. There's also another more adult type bar and grill just up the hill from the schooner, take a right and it's one block up (Michko's). That used to be my neighborhood bar and it's a close drive from your campsite if you wanted to get some bar time in one night before heading back to the campground for the campfire. They usually have a decent band in there on the weekends, and the bartenders are great, except for the crotchety old lady, but she never works weekends. They've got a pretty good menu too (cheaper then the Schooner and much more casual). Get there before nine for the full menu (get the steak sandwich), or typical bar food after nine. Large outdoor deck out back, very large bar actually, plenty of quiet nooks, very clean private bathrooms. That's my recommendation for camping. Head into Tillamook for any needed supplies from the grocery store. Take the same road back into town that you took on your way out and you'll run right into Safeway, can't miss it. The hospital is right there too should something go "awry". I recommend a hike on Cape lookout during the day, and take the UPPER TRAIL, not the one that goes down to the beach. You'll have plenty of beach time at the campground.

What's your favorite camping place in or close to oregon?

where is your favorite place to go camping in oregon? What makes it so great for you? Is there tent camping, rvs, cabins? Are dogs welcome?

Answer
Nehalem Bay State Park, on the Oregon coast has great camping. You can pitch a tent, or bring an RV. Dogs are allowed, and there are nice bathrooms/showers. It's close to Manzanita, and Cannon Beach, which are nice towns.
