Hello there- Yes, there are a few campsites in Salou for your family holiday and may I say what an excellent choice especially with kids that age- they will especially love the attractions and nightlife on offer. Of course don't forget Universal Mediteranea

I have not been camping in Salou, but during my years as a travel agent I had many clients who were and every single one of them loved it! The biggest complaint was the coach travel (at one time everyone went by coach) but since you are flying, you'll not have that particular problem!.
You can book tents without travel through bigger operators like Keycamp http://www2.keycamp.co.uk/chooseaholiday/newsandspecialoffers/tabid/299/default.aspx
Their "luxury Supertents" are all erected for you complete with everything you need, even including fridges and freezers and electricity!- See their tents here http://www.keycamp.co.uk/index.cfm?ver=2&fuseaction=Accommodation.AccomDetail&AccomID=13
They have numerous sites in and around Salou.
The campsites themselves are very well equiped with everything on site you could want. The facilities are excellent and the toilets are generally well maintained.
If I were you, I'd look at something like this first then see if there are any other companies who can beat the price- shop around!
I found some reviews for you here;

I really hope you have a brilliant time!
Good luck!

What campground within Big Basin for family camping?
michelcree
There are four family campgrounds (143 sites) within Big Basin, but I've never been there so I am not sure is a which one too book. Anyone who's been there, can you recommend the best spots for tent camping?
I have two small kids, ages 3 and 5, and we're looking for 2-3 sites next to each other for family and friends coming as well. We need shade and safety for the kids to run (so not right next to a main road, etc.).
Specific camp ground spot numbers appreciated!!
Here are the campsites I know of: Blooms Creek Campground, Sempervirens Campground; the other is a walk in which we didn't want to do (Wastahi Walk-in Campground). http://www.reserveamerica.com/campsiteFilterAction.do?sitefilter=ALL&startIdx=0&contractCode=CA&map=true
Answer
Big Basin Redwood Forest State Park has several internet review sites. I suggest that you start with them. Also check Google Maps for satellite photograph intelligence on the campground lay-out. Furthermore, telephone the camp offices for details: 831-338-8860 or write to Big Basin State Park Campground, 21600 Big Basin Way, Boulder Creek, CA.
Talk with the State Park Rangers. Rangers are helpful: I was a Forest Service Wilderness Ranger, Wildland Firefighter, and Visitor Information Services Staff Member. I answered a lot of questions and wrote a few warnings for violations of federal code.
