Where would be a good quiet place to go camping?

In California.l I live in Bay Area and planning on going to camping (around or less than radius of 70 mils) to any secluded camping site. I have never been camping before and wanted to go somewhere quiet and relaxing.

Does anyone know any good camping spots in Northern California?

I'm looking for a camp site to go fishing and camping along a river in Northern California. I'm planning to go with my girlfriend and 2 other couples and none of us have really gone camping before so it would be nice if it wasn't too rugged and out there. We are from the bay area so we were thinking of someplace near Sacramento. The location is pretty flexible, I just don't want to drive to the Oregeon border.
