I'm English and have passed my F.A coaching level one grade. I want to teach youth soccer in the USA as i have just finished my A levels and do not want to go to uni. I also wish to make football coaching a full time profession and therefore this would be great experience. I looked at the Camp America site but i don't think they do football. Anyone have any ideas or alternatives? Cheers
Thanks bellow, btw I live in London, England. Anyone else got any ideas?

Answer
It is easy to coach Soccer in the US. You just go to your local youth soccer program and sign up as a coach. They do a background check etc and bingo you get to coach a season. But that is recreational soccer so you will probably only get a couple of real soccers players and of the rest about half of them might be playing for the first time. You would get to meet other local coaches and maybe move to a travel team (which is one step above rec soccer...kids have to try-out for the team). But that assumes you already live in the US.....and they are no-pay volunteer positions.

However if you are actually living in the UK and want to know about opportunities to coach over here then here are some sites that might give you some ideas. (Don't get too excited I think the ones that speak of abroad are abroad from the US).

It is possible a high school might be open to hiring a British youth soccer assistant coach/coordinator so you could just do some web searches and find some schools that have good soccer programs and see if they might be able to offer you something.

You will need a visa. I don't think short term educational visas are that hard to get. So if you are in the UK you might want to contact the US embassy in London both to ask about the visa situation and perhaps see if they have any ideas. (Making your own progress on a visa also be a good way of letting any one you contact in the US know you are serious).

Is there anyway of finding out who land belongs to in the UK?

Im going camping and want to find out where im planning to camp, who that land belongs to. Is there any website which will tell me?

Answer
Hi there. Apart from designated camp sites, you have to ask permission to camp on any other land. This ownership information is not readily available in advance. The rural population is generally sensitive to illegal camping. If you turn up somewhere and decide to camp, you must make an effort to knock on doors and check out who owns the place. Farmers and landowners might not mind, but you can bet you'll be one who wakes to find Farmer Giles pointing a shotgun at you saying "Get off moy land!".
