leeds festival tickets?

kasaki

went to knebworth this weekend and was offered tickets cheap outside, does any one know if this is the same as leeds.
sorry,my fault,was offered wrist bands..

Answer
edit: At music festivals like Reading & Leeds, you have to have the ticket first, you exchange the ticket for a wristband, you get wristbanded on the site on the day you arrive. There are different wristbands for people coming on days tickets, weekend tickets with camping & weekend tickets without camping. If you turn up with a wristband on the first day with no ticket, they won't let you in & there's no guarantee its the right wristband until you get there. Security need to see the ticket, check that it's genuine before they let you through to get the wristband.

original answer: Were you actually offered tickets? Did you see them?

The tickets for Reading & Leeds haven't been released yet so if someone actually had a ticket to sell you, it was probably fake.

Reading & Leeds are 3 days music festivals specialising in rock & alternative music. They're both famous festivals.

Anyone from UK: Leeds vs. Reading Festival?

The problem: I'm thinking of purchasing tickets to either the Leeds or Reading Festival in August, I was just wondering which is better to go to and if any one has any hotel recommendations or tips. The tickets to London- these are the only airports I see remotely close to Reading are 132$ then, but that leaves forty miles to Reading from London- do I take a taxi or rail or...??). The tickets to Leeds are $520, which means I'm closer but pay a lot more. Neither of these include hotels. So my questions are I guess which festival would be worth it, or would the price including my transport to Reading cost more than the Leeds tickets. Also any hotel recommendations or any other experience would be helpful.

Thanks!
I heard about the camp sites- but I'm somewhat confused how those work? Plus I would have to arrive a day early because of the plane tickets/times and stay 3-4 more days in London after the whole concert weekends. Plus I might be going alone :( depressing, but all my fav. bands are there!

Answer
I've been to Reading several times and you don't stay in hotels, you camp in the field in a specifc camping site, they're according to colour (red, yellow, etc) so whatever colour you choose is the campsite you'll stay in while your there
