so this saturday is going to be gorgeous and would love to go camping with the woman, are there any good camp sites near wstern MA or within an hour driving time? would like to go hiking etc sleep in tent or cabin whatever. someone give me some insight

the long trail starts in N.Adams and runs north into Vermont,if you are hiking.there is also a campground in the state forest along Route 2 near thereD.A.R. has one too,check the state parks and campground guide for that area available at visitors center.Department Of recreation and conservation has listings too.

I am looking for a place to go camping that is really the "outdoors". I could just go to a place with camp sites but I am looking for something more like going to a mountain and pitching a tent. I don't know where they let you do that stuff. Any Ideas? Somewhere in the NH, VT, ME area.....
