Good places to camp in the southern uk?

Q. basically,
we cannot afford to get to newquay.
any other places which are good for a group of 16 yr olds?
tenting?
and we live in cardiff. so not to far away! or if so easy and cheat to get too!!!

I know what you mean.....if it only cost 5p to go all the way around the world, I STILL couldn't get out of sight.

Cornwall

Dorset
Yorkshire (North or West)
Lake District
Northern Ireland has some great scenery too
