Anyone got a full camping list?

andybfirth

Hi, Me and my family are just going to start camping this summer, and need a full list of things we will need to take. It may sound a little thick but we don`t want to get somewhere and find we dont have all the gear. Any help or info would be of great help.

Thanks Andy

Answer
Depend on where your camping. MT I wouldn't camp with out a S&W Model 500, food, rattlesnake bite kit, cellphone, sleeping bag, water, bugspray, duct tape, a leatherman utility tool, silverware (well plastic at least) a jackknife or a hunting knife, warm clothing for sleeping (layering is always prefered) boots, first aid kit, flashlight, a grill or camping stove, fire suppression kit (whether just a fire extingusher or sand), horseshoes (Never know when you will have time for a pickup game) frying pan, fishing liceance, fishing pole, bait, tent, raincoat, radio with batteries so you can keep track of weather

Does anyone have any information on family camping areas in southern california

I'm looking for family friendly places to camp in southern california or central california, or not too expensive cabin rentals. Swimming, fishing and hiking would have to be included as well.

There is a book called California Camping by Tom Stienstra. It is the camping bible you might say. Anyways, it list all campgrounds in California including RV places, tent places, and even back packing places. He tells what each campground has, where it is, and rates the quality too. Bes book ever. I have the book, but I am too lazy to start looking up campgrounds in Southern California as they have so many. Another place to look is Reserve america on line.
