best camping places in new zealand image
Olivia
I'm planning a trip from the U.S to hike the entire length of New Zealand, or the "Te Araroa." Airfare one way is about $1000, and I have close to no hiking supplies currently and was wondering what the overall cost of airfare, food, supplies, and lodging would cost, Thanks!
I am willing and able to take the recommended 4 months to hike the entire trail.
Answer
Hi Olivia.
You will not want to hike the entire length as it is over 3,000 km long (1,850 miles). To walk that far would take a very long time. The trail is not yet continuous and it is quite hilly in places too.
The cost of your trip will depend on many things, including what level of comfort you are expecting! Will you carry a tent, stay in camping grounds, or maybe motels? You can eat cheaply here but over time the cost of food adds up. Have you thought of wwoofing? Free lodging in return for doing some light-duty farm work. I can offer you such employment!
Good luck!

Where is the best place to go for a naturist holiday?
Paul
With a family, wife and children, somewhere warm and friendly without any hassle. If anyone knows places to avoid, please also list those and reasons. Thanks.
Answer
The "best place to go" is pretty subjective so a little more information might be helpful. Do you have a budget in mind? How old are your children? What time of year do you want to travel? Do you speak a language other than English? Would you prefer to stick to the USA and the Caribbean or would you be interested in someplace in Europe like the Canary Islands or Croatia?
The various national naturist organizations are a good place to begin so here are a few to get you started:
www.aanr.com (US)
www.naturistsociety.com (US)
www.fcn.ca (Canada)
www.inf-fni.org (International)
www.british-naturism.org.uk (UK)
Presumably you want to keep the kids entertained so a couple of suggestions would be the Sunsport Gardens Youth Camp in Florida (www.sunsportgardens.com/youthcamp), maybe a European Holiday that includes a stop in Britain when British Naturism rents Waterworld Aquapark for nude use in October (http://www.waterworld.co.uk/) or a visit to Cap d'Agde in the south of France (http://www.waterworld.co.uk). Or perhaps you'd be more interested in Australia and New Zealand? They have numerous family-friendly resorts.
