best camping places in new england image
O
I am very interested in the Exploration summer program at yale university where you live at yale for a few weeks and take courses and do trips to places in new england on the weekend. The only problem is it is 3 weeks long and doesn't comply with my summer plans, plus although my parents are willing to pay, the friends I want to go with me, couldn't afford it. Does anyone know of a comparable camp, where you live on campus and take courses, like Psych, Forensic Science, dance, etc. ?
Answer
I dont know where you live but there is a college science and math program for freshmen through juniors at the University of LaVerne in SoCali It is only 300 dollars for food and you live in the dorms, but it is 2 weeks

You need to plan for a variety of weather. Being inland (Brecon Beacons for example) will be colder with some winds. Staying at/near the seaside will be warmer and brighter.
Hot (typically 70-80F)
Grey - about 50-60
Raining about 50
Windy
If you are camping you will need warm clothes for cold nights down to 40F and you will need wellingtons in case you have heavy rain.
That's all the bad news! The good news is you will have a great time in some lovely scenery with beautiful beaches and many many "quaint" places/towns to visit. If you are in North wales you will go to Snowdon (mountain), go on miniature ralways and hopefully visit Portmerion which is incredible!
