best camping site wales image
Kopano
I want to go camping with a group of friends in some woods and have a bit of a party. So does anyone know of anywhere we could go where we can have campfires, play music and drink but not bother anyone?
We are travelling from London so the nearer the better. Ideally we would camp in woods with a lake or near a beach. So it doesn't need to actually be a camp site.
Any ideas??? Thanks in advance!
Answer
Wild camping is illegal in England and Wales !
So any fires noise and groups getting drunk will attract the land owners and the police!
Stay in your own home and mess that up not the British country side!
Oh and by the way lighting fires in forests can and will land you in a whole lot of hell and rightly SO!
And most local authorities will also not allow beach fires thank goodness!

Camping in the UK? A question about internet access and power points?
UK girl -
I thought about taking my son camping somewhere in the UK maybe cornwall, Somerset. the Lakes or Wales. I was wondering does anyone know if camp sites nowadays have WiFi - it seems to me from preliminary searches that they don't. If any do, do they also have power points so people can charge their computers? Thanks for any advice.
Answer
If you are staying in a campground without electricity, then get a power inverter to charge the computer while driving with direct current from your cigarette lighter plug in the vehicle. If your campground is without wireless internet, then check at local libraries, coffee shops, and stores. Across the United States, I have never been far from a business or public library that offered me free use of the internet. If you are really desperate, then ask your cell phone provider about personal internet service that you plug into the USB port of your computer. In the United States, plans range from $15-$70 per month depending on the amount of data transmitted.
