best camping place in wi image

Me and my wife are planning to drive up to Door County for a day or two, and I was wondering if you fine folk know of any places we should make sure to see. We like site seeing and good shopping of course with the misses :-) I don't mind going off the beaten path if there's something good. Thanks for your help!
Answer
- Make your way to Rock Island. It's hard to get to, and there's only camping, I think, but it's definitely a unique Wisconsin experience.

- Newport State Park is very pleasant, and easy to get to, yet out of the way. Good if you fancy a long walk along Lake Michigan without many people around. Accomodations nearby, though on the expensive side.
- Peninsula State Park is very popular and has it all. It's near the Fish Creek/Gibraltor area, so you can combine good accommodations, sightseeing and shopping if you just focus on this one area.

- Sturgeon Bay is the hub of Door County, a nice town with a lot of nice B and Bs. It's the best place in Door County for shopping, and near Potawatomi State Park, which is a pleasant get-away.

Hope this helps. By the way, I haven't been back there in quite a few years, so my info may be a little outdated.

Are there any outfitters or places in WI that you can hunt while canoeing or ATVing ? Maybe even camping?

I have never hunted before and am looking to try it out for the first time, But I really am not interested in sitting in a tree stand. I am looking for something with a little more adventure, maybe a mixture of camping, canoeing or ATVing for hogs or something like that.
Answer
If I recall correctly, there is a lot of public land that can be hunted in Wisconsin. I have only paid attention to deer season although I am sure there are other game animals like grouse or ducks and geese.
Deer season I believe is 10 days long in Wisc. and it wont be weather where you will likely be canoeing, or tent camping.
There may be hogs in Wisc. but I have never heard of anyone hunting them there. Bear, Elk and even Moose are more likely fare than hog. If you check for Wisconsin Hunting Outfitters, there will probably be a lot of sites directing you to the right information.
Keep in mind. Wisconsin uses rifles and there are a lot of shooters out there. Usually they get a number of hunters killed a year because of the range of rifles etc. Not to mention people shooting people over who has what deer stand.
