best camping site near edmonton image
NeedToFind
the lake is near hinton off highway 40 onto a back gravel road for aways. I have looked all over the internet and there is not much information on this lake, but were planning on leaving this friday so if anyone can tell me about this lake? is it still accessible by car (because google maps simply refuses to give me directions from edmonton) is it still 15 bucks a night? and most importantly is it still free firewood? Is it worth going camping there? are the sites private-ish? is the water good to swim in? we are going for 10 days and we want to make it worth it, even if anyone has an update number i can call. THANK YOU!
Answer
Getting there is fairly easy. You'll be driving on the Yellowhead west from Edmonton. Just a few kilometres past Hinton turn north onto Highway 40 (to Grande Cache). There's a sign at the road to Rock Lake - it's about 30km in from the highway. Check the site below and it should have answers to the rest of your questions.
