im in the dayton area and i was wondering if there were any places to rent canoes that permit you to drink.....i knew there used to be but it seems like everyone i go to its prohibited!
Answer
If you go to the Mohican river up in North Eastern Ohio i know you can. I remember when my family use to go canoeing up there there were always people in rafts and canoes that were drinking and having good times.
i don't know if it is really permitted but is is always going on and it is not patrolled. there are camp grounds all along the river so people just leave their campers and get in the canoes

How do I find a place to set up a tent for a wedding reception?

I don't even know where to begin looking for an area that I could put a large tent on for my wedding reception. Golf courses? Beaches?? I live in Northeast Ohio about a half hour east of Cleveland if that is helpful...Thank you!

You have the right idea. :D
Seriously, check out golf courses and public beaches. You can also look into local parks, or camp grounds.
Most public places will require a permit (they don't usually cost much) and require you to get an liquor license for the event if you plan on having alcohol. But then the rest is up to you.
If you decide on a golf course, hotel, or other wedding location that provides wedding services they may not let you bring in any outside foods or drinks (meaning u have to pay THEIR caterer, and THEIR bartender yuk). So make sure you ask those questions when calling around.
Good luck!
