I have heard the Bong recreation area in Kenosha County WI is a cool place to camp, though I haven't been there myself.

The second link is a park in south central WI where I camp every summer, about a hal;f hour from WI Dells.

Where is the best place to fish AND camp in the lower half of wisconsin?

I want to leave tomorrow. I know its kind of sudden. But i really want to enjoy the out doors before i start a new job. I really want to know where the best place to camp AND fish at in wisconsin. For example. Being able to fish, in hiking or walking distance from camp site. I dont want to go further then black river falls. So like the lower half of Wisconsin is what would be ideal.

My daughter works at Jellystone park and is paid hourly at 5.90. The camp is a resort and not open all year, maybe 6 months or less. Are they eexempt from giving her the minimum wage increase because its a campsite with recreational activities such as swimming, mini golf, and other activities on site including lodging and RV camp sites?

Do you know any good camping sites in or near Illinois?

I would like to go camping in a legit campsite. Not one that has pools or tennis courts. I also do not want to be close to other people who are also camping. Does anyone know of a place worth going?

Actually, when I was a kid living in Illinois we always went to Missouri or Wisconsin to camp. ;)

I don't like sites that are too developed either... so tend to avoid the privately owned parks. Have you checked into the Illinois State Parks system? Look at the list of sites - they indicate which parks have running water vs pit toilets, and which parks are consistently at capacity. Kind of nice that they do that.

I am 16 and wanted to know if it is legal to camp at a camp site with no parental supervision? I live in Wisconsin if that helps.

You can camp at dispersed camping locations within national forests and BLM lands where no fees are charged and as long as your not doing anything stupid or breaking any laws Johnny law ranger won't bother you. look at national forests in your area and call the local ranger office for specific locations you can camp in
