Can you give me some awesome reasons why camping in MW3 is wrong?

Brandon Is

I play on private matches a lot with my two friends and I talk too them on the phone when I do. But they like too camp ALOT! And I've yelled at them plenty of times too stop doing it. One of them gets it but still camps ever now and then but now constantly like the other one likes too. But I also dont know if I could call it camping for the one that dosent camp that much because she likes too lie in prone in the middle of the match so I can't say she's camping. The one that does camp however likes too say she won't camp any more after I've asked her repedetly not too camp and then she will say she won't and then will do It right in front of me but either way I would like some good reasons on why they shouldn't camp period. They also think that the a lot of the spots too hide where put there so people could camp, I would also like some people's opinions for if they where put there too camp or not.

Answer
Well camping isn't always bad, it depends HOW you camp. For example, snipers are typically campers by nature as most snipers like to stay in one spot for a while and pick off shots, obviously this isn't always true and wasn't even true for me, I'm always a sniper but prefer to run around constantly and try to always get on people's blind side.

But if you constantly camp in the same place, or camp in a place where you know for a fact people can only enter from one direction so your pretty much guaranteed a kill when someone comes along then your a "dumba*s fuc*king fag*got camper" which is the general term.

mw3 vs black ops??????

my kdr in mw3 was 1.300 but for some reason i can't kill anyone anymore dropped to a 1.285 so i throw in some black ops and go 17-1 my first match. i don't get it why is mw3 so much harder and it seem it just got this way this past month????

Answer

Mw3 loadout assistance?

Ryan

Well my strategy is usually to find the best place to hold out and just maintain security over the map. What would be the ideal weapon/ equipment/ perk set for that.

Answer
If all you're doing is camping, then any sniper rifle will do along with the Ghost perk (I'm not sure they still have it in MW3 though)

What is what the large amounts of camping in mw3 ?

B.K. Jones

I'm so ready to sell this game

Answer
IW games always have camping. As they ways build dark corners and Easter eggs and hiding places in the maps. Notice treyarch did not do this with BO. Id reccomend just checking all your corners, and not just rushing. You kindof have to play mw3 defensive to be successful.

Should I sell my mw3? get bf3 instead?

Stun

It's been about two or three days I have the game and it already gets kinda boring. I have and stil am enjoying mw2 much more I'll play about 5 matches and get sooo bored, cant point out what it is but its just boring. Apart from that all the noobs and campers piss me off. Small maps, not really sniper friendly blah blah........ So do you think I should give it a bit more time and see or sell mw3 and buy bf3?

Answer
I have played both and I can assure you that MW3 is a much better game. In MW3 you are constantly placed in action, but you have the option to back out and snipe. Where as in BF3 you are almost always out of action, the games are much longer, and the maps are huge. It really depends on what you like. If noobs and campers are pissing you off, then you wont have much more luck in BF3. If you aren't in a vehicle in BF3 then you are pretty much camping. You will find yourself becoming incredibly bored walking around the map. If you're becoming bored easily I recommend playing with friends, joining an online game battles or something, or using classes with the riot shield or using other random classes can prove fun.

True/False: You've camped in an online match/game before?

Skittle De

what game xp

Answer
True.

I don't do it a lot, but damn I get a lot of hate messages on XBL when playing mw3. Not all of them for camping, but the majority certainly is.

It's funny.

Some people just can't stand losing, and will throw whatever "insults" they can to justify why they lost.

If you're the sort of person who sprints round a corner in life & death situation, then surely in a game as tactical as this you deserve to be shot in the face by the person who predicted you were going to sprint round the corner.

More fool you for sprinting towards that corner after you spawn, hell bent on revenge, only to find the guy has pre-empted you again and is waiting for you somewhere else.

So to all of you out there who hate me because you managed feed me a match-winning killstreak. When you say you hate me because I'm a camper, you're really just saying you hate me because a) you're predictable, b) I clearly employ better tactics and c) you got beat, plain and simple.

Now I must stress this part, some people seem to think of camping as cheating, that's ridiculous. If someone is going to hide in some obscure place and snipe every person that say, pops their head up at a doorway, then that person is being even MORE predictable than the people he is killing, and therefore should be pretty damn easy to kill, stop complaining and go kill him.

Regularly I will get kills that are pegged "camping" but really I'm just playing smart. Say for instance I hear footsteps coming towards a doorway, I COULD pop my head out the door and hope my gun is pointing at the guy, but I could easily be off by 90 degrees giving him plenty time to shoot me as no doubt he's looking straight at the doorway he's walking towards. The smart thing to do is to just wait that 3 seconds for him to come in and pop him in the side of the head. Don't hate me because I was camping, hate me because I have surround sound, and you don't have the silent footstep perk.

Another classic is when my (dumbass) team decide they're all going to go one way round the map, leaving themselves in a prime formation for someone sneaky to come up behind them and take them all out. Me being a team player, and playing to win, I'll cover their flank, if they're all powering forward making a lot of noise, no doubt showing up on the map as having a big circle-jerk party, more than one guy on the opposite team is going to do a lap of the map and come from a certain direction to try and fuck them. I spot these situations and wait on these guys coming. Then we win.

I don't think I've ever sat in one place for very long - either a) you're not getting any action, so it's time to go on the hunt - or b) you've had some action, so the LAST thing you want to do, is be predictable and stay where you are

I haven't really ever been stressed out by a camper, if its the kind who stays in one place sniping, they'll maybe get 3 kills on me max, before I fuck them up, then usually you can kill them several more times as they attempt to work their way back to their camping spot.

If it's the kind that does the same thing as me, I enjoy the challenge, the SPRINT>SHOOT>SPRINT>SHOOT>SPRINT>SHOOT laps of the map some people do bores the hell out of me, having a little game of cat & mouse with someone is way more fun, and more rewarding.

On some occasions you'll simply be outgunned though. And the angrier you get at this person BEATING YOU, the easier you make it for them to beat you even more, if you can't take them on, stop feeding them kills and killstreaks, and just leave them the hell alone - and advise your team do the same. He'll get bored and come out of his hole eventually.

How to get better killstreaks in MW3?

I play MW3. But I always have to use the support package because Whether I Run & Gun or Camp I always get picked out. I've tried using all the stealth perks, WITH claymore and Silencers, but people just run past the claymores and I can never get a killstreak, although I have been playing CoD for a good 2 years. Any suggestions?

Answer
Few things that help...

1) Always aim down sights when going round corners or walking down long corridors.
2) Learn to dropshot. Set your controller to tactical, and practice and be persistent on it. I sucked at it at first, then after like a week it was second nature to me.
3) Silencers tend to make the weapons worse on MW3. Assault rifles are okay silenced, try the ACR with Attachments proficiency, then extended mags and silencer, i think thats the best in the game.
4) If you run around a lot, think about putting steady aim on. Aiming after running is slow - steady aim pro speeds it up.
5) Bit like point 4 - but dont sprint everywhere. If you're 100% sure that no one else is there, then yeh, go ahead, but if someone does come then you'll be slower to react than they are, so walk, or better yet crouch
6) When you die, watch a few killcams...try and pick up things that other people do against you, cause with them it's obviously working.
7) Dont overestimate yourself with killstreaks, go reasonable.
8) Care packages tend to be lucky at the moment, might give you more confidence if you get a few choppers or something.
9) hardline? does that need more explanation?
10) Use killstreaks that kind of compliment each other - I use predator, Helicopter, then one of the 9 ones - usually overwatch. Run around, get a few kills, like 3/4, even less with hardline, then camp a bit for a kill. Get the predator, hopefully get 1, maybe 2 kills with that, if only one, camp more till you get the first chopper, then let that get you 2 kills for the next. When you camp, dont stay in the same place for more than 1 kill. you can stay in the same area by all means, just if people know you're doing that then they'll know where to get you :)
11) Experiment a bit - find routes that work for you as to where to go from spawns etc, dont just think where you're going yourself, think where other people are coming from too, and look around a bit, dont just look in the direction you're running.

Cant think of much else, but hope this helps :)

In mw3 do you have to buy the maps for 1v1 ect?

Gary

When i was in my cousins the other night he told me that he didn't have to buy them, he said that theres a code on the book thats in the case and you can download it from that? Can you do that?

Answer
I am assuming you are talking about Face Off maps. They include 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3. I am also assuming you are talking about the Elite Founder card. The Elite Founder cards do not work any more, you had to activate them by December 30th. However, you can still buy Premium Elite.

If you are a Premium Elite member, then you will gain all the Face Off maps for free. However, if you are not a Premium Elite member, you will get 2 free maps and 2 paid maps. There are 3 other maps that are, currently, exclusive to Premium Elite members.

Below is information on all the Face Off maps if you are interested.

There are 2 Face Off maps that are free, Aground and Erosion. Aground is the map with the ships, Erosion is the map with the big tower everyone camps in.

The other 2 Face Off maps are included in the Collection 2 DLC, which costs 1200MSP ($15). The Collection 2 DLC includes 2 Spec Ops missions, 3 regular maps, and 2 Face Off maps. The 2 Face Off maps are Getaway and Lookout. Getaway is a house with a pool where you can drown in. Lookout is a bunch of sandy "forts" where one fort has two turrets.

The 3 Face Off maps that are currently exclusive to Premium Elite members, are Vortex, U-Turn, and Intersection. Vortex takes place in a small farm. Intersection is set in Manhattan, at the intersection of Fulton Street and Schwarz Road, it includes a basketball court, a theater, pizza shop, art studio, etc. U-Turn is 2 roads in Afghanistan and has some dry patches and tall grass on the side .

Hope this helped, have fun!

Why is it good to learn the spawn places for black ops and MW3?

Jeffrey

ive seen alot of people on youtube that post gameplays say that they try to learn spawns and stuff but i never get why... is it just to camp and spawn kill or be stealthy or any other reason... plz help?

Answer
When a match starts, your team and the opposite team, spawn on the opposite ends of the map. If you go into their spawn and get alot of kills, the spawn flips. They say to learn the spawns because someone could sneak up and kill you when they just spawned.
Hope I helped some:)

Do you find it easy to adjust playing two fps games?

Scott

I want to be decent at MW3 which I am; however I still prefer black ops. When I play one or the other I find it hard to adjust to the other game. Is it advised to stick to one fps as the game pace etc is different.

Answer
The two play pretty much the same. You're COD play shouldn't change from game to game too much unless you rely on camping in certain places. Guns shoot the same, movement is the same, perks are used the same pretty much. So its definitely in your head.

Now switching from COD to Halo or BF will totally screw you up. idk how many times I threw a grenade when I didnt intend to in both games or when knifing left me kneeling on the ground instead of stabbing someone. Those are hard games to adjust between imo.
