why did italians settle in melbourne?

Why did the italian migrants choice to settle themselfs mostly in melbourne?

Why not ? Initially there were put into immigration camps but after working for a set time, they were free to go where they wanted. Italians are from one side of Australia to the other. Desert to mountains. Maybe they headed for Melbourne directly after WWII as it was the furtherest place from the violence they could find

As for cheap places to rent in Melbourne ... look at areas outside Melbourne (ie at least 40 minutes from CBD) ... possibly Frankston, Dandenong, Lilydale, Windham Vale/Werribee

Where to go for Grad Camping Trip on Vancouver Island, BC?

im planning a grad camping trip for my high school grad class on Vancouver Island, BC... possibly around Parksville, Tofino, or the Gulf Islands....but I don't know where to go. We would want a place that isn't particularly family-oriented, because we're young and will inevitably make some noise. A place with like a group campsite would be best. we don't need any special amenities, just a campfire, some bathrooms, and showers. Any ideas? anything will help!!

Best quiet cheap campground on Vancouver Island?

We live in Courtenay BC and want to have a small party with like 8-10 people, whats the best place to go camping on vancouver island? Thats not too far from Courtenay?

if mean wilderness type camping? (self sufficient) I'd go to walmart and buy the "BC Backcountry" map book and look for a nice lake or river spot up a logging road. Isnt that the beauty of living here in supernatural bc.!! Bring a GPS of someone has one if not write down the turns and landmarks on your forray in so you can get back out.
